The company reported a substantial increase in retail sales, with sales figures rising to 24,330 units compared to 13,769 units in December.
This increase resulted in an impressive month-over-month growth of 76.67%, increasing Ola’s substantial market share to 28.08%.
TVS Motors
In a surprising turn of events, TVS Motors failed to surpass Ola Electric by just 542 units and retained the second position in January 2025, with a sales figure of 23,788 units.
TVS iQube was one the best-selling electric scooters in the country during the first month, which helped the brand record a month-on-month growth of 38.18%, securing a market share of 27.46%.
Bajaj Auto
Bajaj Auto which was the market leader in December 2024, dropped down a little and secured the third position on the market leaderboard.
The brand recorded a sales figure of 21,294 units in January, representing a month-on-month growth of 16.51%
Bajaj Chetak was amongst one of the best-selling electric scooters in the country, which helped Bajaj Auto secure a market share of 24.57%
Ather Energy
Ather Energy continued to maintain the fourth spot in the leaderboard with a sales figure of 12,895 units in January 2025, up from the 10,421 units in December.
Ather recorded a month-on-month growth of 23.74% and holds a market share of 14.89%.
Greaves Electric Mobility
Greaves Electric continued to maintain the 5th position in the leader board, in January 2025.
It reported sales of 3,611 units, representing a reduction in month-on-month growth by -19.23% and its market share currently stands at 4.17%.
Pur Energy
Pur Energy finally made it to the Top 10 leaderboard this month, securing the 6th position in January 2025 with a sales figure of 1,650 units.
Hero MotoCorp
Hero MotoCorp continued to retain the 7th position in January, with sales of 1,615 electric two-wheelers, a substantial decrease from 7,344 units sold in December 2024.
This represents a reduction in month-on-month growth by -78.01% and its market share currently stands at 1.86%.
Bgauss Auto
Bgauss Auto slipped down to the 8th position in January, with sales of 1,451 electric two-wheelers, a decrease from 1,878 units sold in December 2024.
