Tata Motors showcased an impressive range of EVs at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, including the highly anticipated Tata Harrier EV, all geared up to expand its EV portfolio in India this year.
The Tata Harrier EV is a premium electric SUV offering from the brand, a great blend of advanced technology, extensive range and modern design with the robust looks of the popular ICE Harrier.
Tata Harrier EV Design
The Tata Harrier EV is a mix of the robust design of the ICE Harrier with modern EV technology.
It will retain the signature silhouette, dimensions, and most of the design elements of the ICE model.
On the other hand, it will incorporate a new sleek and minimalist design for the EV model. The Harrier EV features a closed-off grille and LED DRL lights, providing a sleek front fascia. Meanwhile, the redesigned rear bumper offers a sleek and distinctive look from the ICE model.
Tata Harrier EV Launch Date
While an official launch date for the Tata Harrier EV has not been revealed yet, it is likely to be launched soon in March 2025.
Tata Harrier EV Price in India
The Tata Harrier EV is anticipated to have an estimated starting price of ₹25 lakh (ex-showroom), making it a premium yet affordable electric SUV.
The Harrier EV will be in direct competition with Mahindra’s latest offering BE 6, and the Hyundai Creta EV.
Tata Harrier EV Platform
The Tata Harrier ICE version is based on the brand’s OMEGA architecture, which is a re-engineered version of the Land Rover D8 platform.
However, the Tata Harrier EV will be built on the brand’s Gen 2 Acti.EV platform, which currently underpins the Curvv EV and will also underpin the brand’s future lineup.
AWD System
The Gen 2 Acti.EV dedicated electric vehicle platform is designed to accommodate both all-wheel-drive (AWD) and rear-wheel-drive (RWD) options.
This makes it possible to incorporate a dual-motor setup for the Tata Harrier EV, offering an AWD system with the motors powering the front and rear axle respectively.
Tata Harrier EV Battery
Tata Motors has not yet unveiled the battery specifications of the Harrier EV.
However, it is anticipated to have a high-capacity powerful battery with its capacity ranging from 60 kWh to 75 kWh approx, offering an extended range of more than 500 kilometres on a full charge.
Tata Harrier EV Features
The Tata Harrier EV is going to be a feature-rich electric SUV from the brand.
It will be packed with features like a panoramic sunroof, connected car tech, powered front seats with ventilation, a 12.3-inch infotainment setup, a digital driver’s display, a JBL premium sound system, dual-zone automatic AC, wireless charging, and many more advanced features.
In terms of charging, the Harrier EV will support fast charging infrastructure and come equipped with Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) capabilities as well for enhanced performance.
Additionally, the Tata Harrier EV will come equipped with safety features like an ADAS system, driver doze-off feature, hill descent control, seven airbags, a 360-degree HD camera, electronic stability control, etc.
